On a memorable evening dedicated to celebrating humanity, innovation, and impactful service, the Maitry Peace Foundation organized its prestigious International Buddha Peace Award & Gaurav Shri Samman ceremony on 2nd May 2025 in the vibrant cultural city of Guwahati, Assam. The event honored individuals from across India who have made remarkable contributions to society in areas such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and social development.
The awards were formally presented by the Honourable Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his inspirational address, the Governor praised the awardees for their outstanding dedication and lauded the Maitry Peace Foundation’s efforts in celebrating selfless service and achievement.

The ceremony was presided over by Surajit Barua, President of the Maitry Peace Foundation and a distinguished Buddhist monk. Addressing the audience, he reflected on the importance of honoring individuals who embody the spirit of peace, resilience, and social responsibility.

Among the esteemed recipients were Shri Gadde Narahari, Shri Manoj Kacharia, and Kamal Sharma, who were honored with the International Buddha Peace Award & Gaurav Shri Samman.
Kamal Sharma is a noted Astrologer and compassionate social worker whose unique contributions bridge ancient wisdom and modern societal needs. With over 17 years of dedicated research in Aura and Health Vastu, he has successfully identified root causes of ailments arising from geo-energetic imbalances and offered holistic solutions to individuals and families across the country. Kamal Sharma holds a diploma in Vastu and is recognized for his groundbreaking work in healing through energy science. Beyond his professional achievements, he is actively involved in initiatives promoting community health and well-being. His work is a testament to how traditional sciences can meaningfully contribute to contemporary life and human welfare.
