Startup India, in partnership with the Department
for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Embassy
of India, Seoul, successfully led a high-impact delegation of Indian
startups to the COMEUP Startup Festival 2025, one of Asia’s largest
and most influential global innovation platforms. The delegation
comprised eight DPIIT-recognized, high-potential startups, selected
for their innovation, scalability, and global relevance.
The delegation was led by Shri Md Alam Ansari,
Deputy Director, DPIIT, ensuring strong institutional leadership and
strategic engagement throughout the event. COMEUP 2025 brought together
over 50,000 global stakeholders, including investors, corporates,
policymakers, and startup ecosystem leaders, offering Indian startups a
powerful platform to showcase their solutions and explore international
expansion opportunities.
Among the participating startups, Medstown, a
DPIIT-recognized Indian healthtech startup, highlighted its AI-powered
healthcare delivery platform, designed to ensure 30-minute access
to medicines by partnering with licensed local pharmacies, hospitals,
and healthcare providers. Medstown’s participation reflected India’s growing
capability to build scalable, technology-driven healthcare infrastructure with
global applicability.
Strengthening India’s Global Startup Presence
COMEUP 2025 enabled Indian startups to participate in high-value
investor and industry networking, exclusive pitching and product
showcase sessions, and targeted one-on-one business meetings with
global stakeholders. The festival also provided critical exposure to Asian
healthcare and technology markets, allowing founders to better understand
regulatory frameworks, partnership models, and consumer dynamics across regions
such as South Korea and Southeast Asia.
Startup India’s leadership at the event reaffirmed the
Government of India’s commitment to empowering startups with global
market access and facilitating international collaboration. The
delegation underscored India’s strategic focus on positioning its startups as
global solution providers capable of addressing complex challenges across
healthcare, logistics, and digital infrastructure.
Medstown: Building Trust-Led, AI-Driven Medicine Access
At COMEUP 2025, Medstown demonstrated how its AI-led
platform addresses persistent challenges in medicine access, prescription
failures, stockouts, and last-mile delivery inefficiencies. The company
leverages AI-driven prescription authentication, intelligent
pharmacy and distributor mapping, and hyperlocal supply
optimization to ensure patients receive the right medicines,
on time, while strengthening the role of neighbourhood pharmacies.
Medstown operates a hybrid B2B2C healthcare marketplace that
connects consumers, pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare partners, and brands
through a technology-driven platform. On the B2C side, consumers
can order medicines, wellness products, and pet care solutions through
the Medstown app, with 30-minute delivery enabled
by partnered local pharmacies. On the B2B side, Medstown supports
pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare partners with technology, demand
generation, and logistics, while also enabling direct-to-consumer
distribution for healthcare and pet care brands. The platform
integrates teleconsultation services, making Medstown a multi-vertical,
AI-powered healthcare marketplace focused on accessibility,
authenticity, and local ecosystem empowerment.
