“IMA Connect” is a distinguished social outreach initiative by the Indian Medical Association, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Branch, designed to deliver healthcare services to individuals who are unable to access doctors due to various limitations.
Through this noble venture, IMA has already conducted camps at Matoshree Old Age Home, Bhagwan Baba Orphanage, and residential centers for specially-abled children. The latest chapter of this initiative unfolded at Bafna Blind School, reaffirming the association's commitment to inclusive healthcare.
This project goes beyond medical check-ups—its goal is also to offer hope, motivation, and a positive outlook on life.
One of the highlights of the event was an inspiring address by Mr. Babasaheb Thombre, a visually impaired State Tax Inspector (GST Department), who shared his incredible journey.
His message to the students was clear and powerful:
“It’s not where you come from, but where you can go, that defines you. Dream big!”
His words struck a deep emotional chord with the students.
During the program, visually challenged students received free health screenings, and the presence of doctors on-site sent a strong message—healthcare must reach those often left out.
The team also carried out a tree plantation drive, underscoring their parallel mission of environmental responsibility.
